Glad to hear about those stands and that they seem to be making more of an effort again here in "nowhere central"! :)
I used to go along when Shrewsbury was a 75k [most memorably the day Bally and Katie O'Brien both broke into the top 100] and there was a stand (just the one) for the Friday and Saturday but, disappointingly, no stand for the Heather v Bartel final.
Good luck today Freya; it would be great to have another Shrewsbury GBR finalist :)
FINAL: (Q) Freya Christie WR 531 v (1) Océane Dodin (FRA) WR 149 (CH 116 in Sep)
Neither player has dropped a set this week - Freya in 6 matches, Océane in 4.
The geographical obstacles keep on coming for Freya - having climbed over a small hill yesterday, now she'll have to cross an ... (you get the drift, I'll get my coat )

Barely ranked 12 months ago, and now going into the top 300. Wow !
And, don't mean to gloat folks, but ....
As no one else had her on their list, I am hoping for True Hero Status (as long as nobody looks at the other 9 predictions which, for the most part, are looking highly dodgy)
Good luck, Freya !
(And I agree, steven - Océane is a daft name .....).

Just for clarity, as a result of this week Freya is going into the top 300s, ie about WR 350 if she wins the final, about WR 390 if she loses it. Not into the top 300.
That's coming before too long though
