I think that is a very wise decision from Georgie.
The standard of female players going to college seems to be increasing and we should see some higher ranked players when they join - Emily Arb, Georgie, Holly Hutch etc
In the same way that the Family Connections thread tries to highlight some of the unsung 'heros' behind the scenes, and recognise their importance, here's a quick shout for ex-US college player, Simon Grieve, who is running tennis down in Canterbury:
Their player, Tiegan, had a good run through qualis in Malta this week.
NB this is NOT a plug - I've barely ever been to Canterbury - but just to acknowledge how US-college tennis brings tennis advantages to GB in roundabout ways and shouldn't just be judged in importance by how many actual pro players it produces. (UK uni tennis obviously does the same, as do other things, but this being the college page......)
Have heard Georgie's choice of college doing the rounds and posted it because I also saw it announced on a public recruiting news site. Think she must be going a year early.
Just to add, from the other thread, that Luke Hammond is out there now, playing ITF juniors, under Matt James, and being talent scouted by the uni coaches.
So good luck to him. (I've a feeling we'll be hearing from Luke in years to come)
