Dan gets into the rally, and Tiafoe nets and then goes wide twice in a row for 0-40 and 3 set points, and a frustrated Tiafoe nets a volley to give Dan the set. 6-1, and 6 games in a row. Come on Dan!!

Big serving takes Dan to 30-0, Tiafoe goes long on the next one before hitting a return right into Evo's feet. It's a minor blip though and Evo puts away a volley for 1-0*

Dan goes just wide with a forehand cross court, before Evo hits a great return onto the line which is called out and then overruled. Tiafoe then hits an ace on the replayed point, prompting a nice thumbs up for the line judge from Dan.
Another massive serve, and a big forehand from Tiafoe and he stops the run of 7 games gor Dan

Really hoping that dodgy call doesn't get under Dan's skin, he goes long with a forehand and then gets a little luck as Tiafoe gets himself muddled at the net and volleys wide. Another return drifts wide, and a netted forehand gives Dan a little breathing space, before Tiafoe swings wide once more. On serve 2-1* in the decider

This match so far has been a rather intriguing mix of rocket-powered winners and limp errors

DF from Tiafoe, followed by a big forehand to either corner on the next two for 30-15. Rally of slices from Dan and forehands from the Yank ends when Evo hits the corner with a forehand - nice change up there.
From 30-30 another rally finishes with Tiafoe hitting the tape, and Dan takes the BP when Tiafoe goes wide!
He has the break at *3-1

Tiafoe can't get his return in, and Dan deals well with the overhead to go 30-0. Tiafoe leaking a few errors now and another ballooned forehand wide takes Dan to 40-0, and a hold to love is sealed with a forehand right into the corner. 4-1*

Virtual match point there but Tiafoe saves, and then Evo rather lets him off the hook with two return errors.

Tiafoe cutting an increasingly agitated figure (remember he's only 17!) but Dan mis-hits a lob to give him an easy put away to start this game. The American goes wide with a regulation forehand next, but after hitting a good return Evo goes wide in the rally. Another successful trip to the net for Dan puts the pressure back on at 30-30, and Evo absolutely creams a return winner to manufacture another BP at 30-40. It's saved by a nice reflex volley. Deuce.
Dan with a mi**** return but Tiafoe nets, before Dan follows suit on the next point to take us back to deuce.
Evo hits his return long and the young American is still alive here with another forehand drifting long from Evo.

Great backhand on the defensive from Tiafoe gets him on the board in this game, and he hunts down a loose drop volley to move to 0-30 here. Good serve up the T from Dan, and he puts the return away for 15-30. The slice returns in the next rally but Tiafoe changes up well and has 2BPs at 15-40. Return goes long on the first, but Evo hits a mid-court forehand long to surrender the break
