Ooh Clayton had set point on serve at *6-5 in 2nd set tie break but didn't take it.

Gabb, tho' looking good now 6-4 3-0 and Whitehouse much closer though just broken now trails 1-6 3-4*

Scott actually had 3 SPs from 6-3 and another at *8-7 but now 8-9* down

Clayton and Geerts in a battle royal.

CLayton led tie break 6-3 but lost four in a row, to leave Geerts serving at 7-6. SC took both points against the serve for 8-7 but then couldn't take the set point on serve or the next one, now Geerts match point again at *9-8.

This was just a nasty draw. Far too many of the GB players who could really use some solid runs were playing tricky seeds in the first round. Never ideal.

Robbie Ridout has just come through his match.

Not the greatest day for the GB players, but as you say the draw was pretty nasty.

6 x GB through and a chance for a couple more

Luke takes the biggest scalp of the day so far from a GB perspective taking out the 5th seed 7-5 in the 3rd. Well played that man.
