RE: Week 45 - Challenger ($50,000+H) - Buenos Aires, Argentina (clay)

Dino takes the second set by 6-3 to redress the balance & the match into a decider.

Good stuff to come through there from James. Would be great to see him and Kyle both go deep here in their respective quests for DC selection

Dellien was actually a lucky loser.

Good stuff.

Particularly good at this time to see Kyle get a decent looking win under his belt.

Another stroke of luck for Wardy in the draw as as Dutra Silva, the seed in that section, retires in his 1st round match leaving Wardy to play a qualifier in R2.

Should add of course, well played to both of them. Make Leon's job as difficult as possible.

Liking Kyle's win against someone who's been around the block on clay (admittedly with little to show for it at CH level). Liking James' win because that's the type of match he'd have lost a month or so ago. Keep going guys.

Both winnable 2nd rounds, and not at all bad really. Funny how things work out though. Kyle seeded yet arguably 2 much harder matches (on paper) than unseeded James
Come on lads, let's have a GB final, a shootout for the DC squad wink

It's Garín, I believe. Quite a talent, although I'm surprised that he hasn't really pushed on at all in the last couple of years after his ATP debut against Lajovic and then that memorable defeat to Chardy - at just 16.

He's still a youngster! And he's qualifying and reaching the 2nd level of a Challenger ... and in the top 20 of the U20s, according to the (admittedly not always reliable) live rankings. So there's time. I remember years ago wondering what had happened to Gael Monfils, who had won everything in sight as a junior and then disappeared. Got there in the end ....

All that said, I sincerely hope he loses his next match. Sorry, Mr Garin. Nothing personal.
