Interesting, honest, and, to me at least, slightly upsetting, piece about Andrea Petkovic - one of the most eloquent, intelligent, funny and well liked players on the WTA tour - and the emptiness tennis life can bring to a curious soul.
That's a startlingly honest interview. She's one of my favourite players, too. Suspect she could indeed do myriad things well. Hope next year is happier.
I've never known anything about her, but it's a great article.
I have worked in many countries myself, and I always find it difficult being away from home. I can only imagine how hard that is year in, year out seeing mainly your colleagues who are also your rivals. I don't envy them. I will keep an eye out for her now. I'm sure she's earned a great many fans with that honesty and strength of character.
