Not sure who awaits in the SFs...the match between the 1st and 5th seeds looks like it ended with a retirement but by whom is not clear from Live Scores
Live Scores now has top seed Fett awaiting Tara in the SFs...having won 6-3 7-6 in an unlikely 58 minutes (think ump's machine must've been on the blink).
GL Tara :)
Emily and Izzy fell just short losing 10-7 in the MTB
The other match is into a second set tie break I was hoping for a Emily v Lisa final to determine the best doubles player as they won their last two tournaments together and then split up - alas not to be.

We have a lot of players in that category where they are ready to move up from 10K's but are struggling to be successful at the next level up (there are very few 15k's)

Tara though is one player who has previously shown that she is certainly more than capable of competing well at above 10K/15K level. For whatever reasons she hasn't though of late. Katy Dunne is another. So hope they at least can much more find again their best level in the new year.
Overall been very disappointing so little general progress this year in these ranked behind the 'big 3' ( Katy D, Amanda, Emily, Tara, Harriet, plus the retired Cav and the injured Katie B )
The current figures re say number of top 300ers and top 500ers are very poor. But I do continue to be optimistic about our younger players progress, currently led rankingswise by Katie Swan and Freya, and how the situation may look in two or three years. I just hope their junior to senior progress goes well.
And would be great to have Robbo properly back on the scene plus a few more of the recently injured / relatively short term injured / long term injured.
