Clem Fayol also wins.

Also, wins for Manisha, Mollie C and Nell Miller

Elise Van Heuvelen came within a couple of points of defeating the Finnish 7th seed. But not to be....

All the other 'peskies' have come through, so far, with ranking/favourites being respected with the all-Brit matches so far too (although the fourth rotation of matches haven't finished yet, and have some potential upsets)

Well, as hoped, the final lot of matches did indeed provide a bit of interest:

And the cigar goes to Serena Nash who took out the 4th seed from Mexico, WR 1035 !!!!!

That must be Serena's best win.

As said, there's been talk before about Serena, as a promising junior. I think she's off to US college next year - her video is on:

www.youtube.com/watch

Strange technique on her forehand, but very athletic, and great to see her getting some rewards.

Megan Rogers came within a whisker of putting out another peskie seed, losing the third 5-7

Ellie-Rose also beat Sabrina [q8]

Pity about the retirement and hope it's not too serious; but, having completed the first set think that counts (does it not?) as a career best win for Laura biggrin

2 MPs for Serena...she takes the TB 7-5 biggrin

Wins 7-5; 7-6(5) despite chalking up 15 DFs
