Wow! I had to be out and couldn't follow the match. Well done indeed, Aljaz. Admittedly Chardy is a bit of a flaky player, when he is good, he is very, very, good, and when he is bad. . . But I have no idea how he played today. Did anybody see it? Was it even streamed?
Aljaz is up for "Comeback of the Year" at the ATP end of year awards. Strange catergory for him to be nominated in (I don't think he was out for a long time) but it's a nice nod considering the rise in his ranking this year (145-50).
Brydan Klein's been plugging away too, toiling at the coal face and making steady progress. Good to see Bedene consolidate his ranking. I always thought him a little lightweight but he does seem to pull out the results.

Yes. I know exactly what you mean by 'a little lightweight' - I sometimes watch him and think 'it's pretty enough but there's not much there...'
But I think he's one of these players where the whole is far greater than the sum of the parts.
And he certainly seems to have made a big shift in rankings and results since changing nationality
Can't say I'm too sure what's going on, but I've just flicked te stream on at *0-3 to Pospisil and it appears the players are having a right ding dong at each other?
