He was an unusual top 10 junior, if I remember correctly, because of the percentage of his points that came from doubles: at the time of his CH (10), he held the doubles championships in the Trofeo Bonfiglio (Grade A), Copa Gerdau (Grade A), Australian Open, Orange Bowl (Grade A), and had been a finalist at the Eddie Herr (Grade 1). He also had doubles QFs at Wimbledon and the Grade A Osaka Mayor's Cup. His best singles showing that year was the AO QF - on the whole he tended to go out before that in the Grade A/Grade 1 tournaments ... though (going by my usual criteria) beating a number of excellent players in a way which meant more than the mere showings themselves would indicate. But in doubles, he and Liam Broady (and, on one of those occasions, Luke Bambridge) were basically beating everyone.
Huge controversy from the Greek no. 1 seed about the line calls: very animated ! But our lads should hopefully beat the French juniors - Lloyd going for the double yet again.
