Beth ends up losing the first set, 4-6, to the top seed, but it was pretty close.

Laura's match has just started, 2-1, and is on the Youtennis safe livestream.

A real tussle at the moment on Laura's serve. She was broken the last time she stepped up to the plate, so a must win game really.

Not the prettiest match so far. A couple of nice winners from the Greek girl, but a heck a lot of errors from both.

Yes, I agree - it's nice to be able to put a 'game' to a player - there's not much chance to see our lower ranked players play so I think the livestreams some of the clubs do - and youtennis - are great for that.

I've only seen Laura D play live once, back in Feb. this year, inside, at Sutton - and to be honest it was a pretty horrid match and I didn't watch much of it because there were lots of other ones going on at the same time.

She has some nice shots but is rather stiff and doesn't move that well, so ends up making a lot of errors, as you say.
