Gabriella, who is 18 next march, has an interesting conundrum. As she has played so little in the last year she has lost her junior ranking completely, but still has a pro ranking. Should she go back to junior level and try to regain her previous best (46) at Junior or , should she push the pro ranking?

Both, I suspect, would involve some travel.

Easy, leave Juniors behind

She should do what's best for her tennis development and to heck with either ranking, but more particularly the junior one.

I would think with Gabi, TennisLover is right, now concentrate on seniors. She has generally responded well and had the game for the senior challenge in what she has played there so far.

Play seniors and take wildcards in to the junior events in the UK around Wimbledon and hope she can get her senior ranking low enough to get direct entry to the junior GS

I agree. Being a player from a country with a Grand Slam, she's probably going to want to give Junior Wimbly a go next year.

So, talk to the LTA / AELTC, find out what's needed to make that happen, and then concentrate on just getting to be a better tennis player.
