RE: Week 41 - Egypt F35 ($10,000) - Sharm El Sheikh (Hard)

Just an addition, but Mason was the only first round loser and his opponent has just turned over a seed.

Come on Bambo - keep fighting

Robbie Ridout loses a frustrating one 7-5 7-5. Saved one match point at 30-40 but lost on second one. In both sets he was a break up at 5-3, then broken twice to lose both sets 7-5.

Bambo did rather have that breaker handed to him, his opponent served 3 doubles in it!

I retract that, Bambo actually served the three doubles!

Can;t help wondering how much a factor the weather is (not in the double faults, just in general, )

People have been talking about the heat.

And there's been two walkovers today and one retirement

Luke off to a flier in the third, leads 3-0* - hope he can maintain the momentum.

Perhaps we should add - by retirement.

A rather strange tournament all round in fact.  Mr Gajewski won twice in qualies. First win was a double bagel, the second was a retirement (Mason's coach).  He then beat Mason in R1 and has now beaten Merckx by retirement, who despite being the Nº5 seed in the MD, had to come through qualies himself where he was only Nº 3 seed.  All a bit convoluted to me.

Fab!!

Luke having been match point down in 2nd set, comes through 4-6 7-6 (6) 6-3

Now just need Richard Gabb to triumph and will have been a fine day in Sharm!

Luke wins to make it 3 GB players in the QF already, with hopefully Rich Gabb to follow.

Oh, well fought, Bambo !

Good one

And now some unseeded Serbian teenager who obviously was a good junior. Allez !

That's the second week in a row Scott has upset 3rd seed Sillanpää for the loss of just 5 games - 5 & 0 last week, 4 & 1 today

His next opponent is another seed he has already beaten convincingly this year.

Halfway there- Gabb saves break point whilst serving for the set and takes it 6-3
