Shame. I always thought that if Koukalova had a better serve, and more importantly a better temperament, then she would have been a solid top 20 player throughout her career

Pity, I blame that guy that was waxing lyrical in an earlier post about Jo's W/L record since July.

You're in good company Klara, beating our Jo. Petra, Venus and Klara.

Didn't see it, but again pity if she was a bit "out of sorts", but I guess she's allowed a relative off-day. And not too long ago that would have looked a pretty encouraging scoreline.

A disappointing result, and only because Jo has shown such an amazing level of consistency it is a big surprise whenever she doesn't win now.

I think once next year starts we will see what sort of level Jo is able to sustain longer term. While it's obvious she has made big improvements that I would expect her to maintain, she won't always be on the kind of form she has been on recently - every player has an off day now and again even Jo.
