It was just starting to look a bit more even in the second set and Neil suddenly broke, I think with 3 points straight from 15-30 down. Looks like he is continuing his recent good form.

Quite a weak event this week, so good chance for Neil to score big.

R2 looks a good chance for Neil to progress. The eighth seed doesn't seem to have too much pedigree and the second seed lies in wait and he is only ranked mid 400's

I'm also thinking that. If he can show some form he appears to have shown in other weeks in all his matches he has a great shout of the title. Though I say that having never seen him play.

Yes and No. Whilst there is no standout player (last week he lost a 3rd set tie break to the eventual winner), there is quite a lot of strength in depth in this event, for the cut off in a 10k at #761 seems pretty low. And as always unless you know all the players, there may well be a rising star somewhere in this that is only 4/500 for a moment and is on their way through.

Notwithstanding which, it was very comprehensive win for Neil and he looks to be playing well, so just hope he can take on Number 8 seed and kick on. Would be great to see him get the points his play deserves.
