Strangely, the top Q seed (who had a QR1 bye) seems to have disappeared (and not have been replaced) so Mason is now left to play the winner of: Bye v Bye Good luck, Mason !

Scott, Jamie and Robbie R should be in the MD.

I still have the top seed showing on my drawsheet... Just in case, here's how it stands:

QR1: Maniel Bains UNR bt (q10) Mikael Rondy (FRA) WR 2148 by 2 & 5

FQR: Mason Recci UNR vs (q1) Andrew Ruppli (SUI) WR 1222
FQR: (q2) Jonny O'Mara WR 1263 vs Norbert Nagyi (AUT) UNR (Norbert has been the bane of Canter, K Oakley and Allemby this summer in Egypt)
FQR: Maniel Bains UNR vs (q6) Manuel Barros (ARG) WR 1468

Oh, that's weird. The ITF site still has two byes at the top of the draw.

And the ATP site also has Mason with a Bye in the FQR (with two byes above) and so marked as a victory.

And he's not on the Order of Play (unlike all the other FQRs).

So I'm hoping Mason's got lucky and M. Ruppli has done a disappearing act . . .

Turns out you were right. Mason did get a Bye into the MD. He almost made it count, too...

2nd time in history that Bye has won a match!

Secondly, what's odder is Ruppli seems to be playing doubles but not singles.

So Mason overcame bye vs bye, but then sadly it was bye bye.
