Miss Rogers is a solid top 100 player at her best though, so not as disappointing as it looks.

I agree re Shelby Rodgers and it really is not a particularly disappointing or surprising scoreline, particularly at this stage for Lisa.

Interesting that Lisa is preferring to use her SR and play and test herself at a relatively high level than seek more matches and wins at lower levels.

There are no doubt arguments either way and different approaches will suit different players more. Cav has written about what she sees as the dangers of playing too much at lower levels.

That was another unhelpful draw for Lisa :(

For those who do not have the luxury of wild cards dished out, playing at a lower level to build up ranking points is essential. Enables them to get their ranking up to a stage where they can enter higher level tournaments by right and possibly avoid difficult draws (with a good enough ranking) and take it from there. Besides, certain $10Ks are notoriously tougher than early rounds of higher level events.

The tournaments have worked out quite nicely for Lisa in terms of direct entry into main draw and prize money even if results haven't matched.

However she is down to play a 25K in the States in a couple of weeks which is loaded and she is nowhere near main draw yet even with SR
