Fingers crossed for 8 points singles and 80 points doubles then (assuming reality reflects how the matches should play out on paper); which would be canny use of the schedules again by Em :)
R1 singles looks like it's gonna be close though...

that's a very decent result, given how close the other two matches (one win, one loss) were against the same opponent only last year.

And the top seed lost in R1, (in 2 sets), so Em now gets Zhang, WR 351, CH 184 exactly four years ago.

Fairly heavy 63 62 loss. Missed a break point at 3-3* and that was it. Thought it would be a lot closer but nevemind. Hopefully a blip given how much better she's been playing the past few weeks.
