I didn't see Brydan as awkward on the day, just much better. But we know too that Kyle can play much better than he did.

Well done to Mr Klein. And onwards and upwards to Mr Edmund - may he soon be back to the fine player he is. (And, yes, well done to Leon Smith and Dan Evans. If Mr Klein has exposed rust, imagine what Mr Tomic would have done)

Just what some of the other Brit players have mentioned about BK in the past. Not sure if they were referring to his oncourt antics or his game style.

R2: Brydan Klein WR 172 vs Quentin Halys (FRA) WR 218

I seem to remember Halys was a 'pesky' in a lot of the British 10ks this summer...

Indeed. Quentin is an extremely good looking young player, getting better and more consistent.

He should certainly hit the top 100 not too far in the future.

Yes indeed, if he was a Brit we would rightly be getting very excited about young Quentin. Hopefully Brydan's superior experience (particularly at challenger level) will see him through this one.

The match is 1st on court 1 at 7pm UK time I believe. Is that court being streamed to anyone's knowledge?

It should be, on the ATP Livstream site along with other challengers. Looks like there's been a rain delay though.

Someone mentioned not finding Klein awkward - he's definitely playing weird stuff today, he serve volleyed on 2nd serve 4 times in a row in the last game including SP down, and won all four.

5-5

Snorter up the line from Halys at *2-3 for the break, then a bad overrule from the umpire makes it 2-5*

And that's the set gone. Got to say Halys is very impressive.

Brydan hit a clear ace at 30-30 that was called out. Ended up being broken to deuce. Oh dear.
