Very well done, Jo looks to have retained her previous form which is all you can ask for after a long break, and Hev has rediscovered a bit of her mojo, which I was pretty confident she would do.
Tough draws, Petko is obviously beatable, but no reward for getting through that, and Hev could certainly take advantage of a very inconsistent/tired Janko these days.
Jo came back from 2-4 down against Petkovic in 1st set to take it 6-4 and then gets a break at the start of the 2nd to lead *1-0. Only got the live scores on but their stats are very similar so far.

Just switched on to see Jo take the match 6-4 7-5. She served it out, from 40-0 love up finally taking it on her 4th match point !!!! Well done again that girl
Another great win. It's a sign of how well Jo has been playing that I wasn't really surprised to see that she had won. Her match against Azarenka will be very interesting.
The draw has been been really unkind to Konta who would then have to play Simona Halep if she beat Azarenka. On a positive note she beat Petkovic again and this should give her a lot of confidence.
Azarenka IMO is under ranked due to her injuries and some tough draws in recent majors and is easily on playing terms in the top ten, if Konta beats her that would IMO be her best ever win.
To be fair you don't get into a seeded 13 - 16 ( Petkovic ) section of the draw, and hence have a likely more beatable seed without then having the other seed in that first theee rounds section being a 1-4 seed in Halep so that's fair dos.
Having an clearly underranked Azarenka around though is a bit unfortunate in assisting progression. I'd say though she's still short of her best and I'm actually kind of looking forward to seeing how Jo does.
