Jo not serving well so far and Venus playing very aggressively. Hope that's not the first set done. Jo had four breakpoints on Venus' serve and Venus just increased her power and blew Jo away.

Venus Williams playing very well on the BP's, the score 5-2 doesn't really tell how competitive the match has been. Disappointingly if Konta wins this match she won't be able to play Beijing because she won't make the start of qualifying. You would think the least they could do was to offer her a WC.

Venus is playing well to be fair, and not really allowing Jo to play, she's painting the lines and hitting with super depth
Hopefully her level will drop and Jo can get stuck in

Yes, i think Venus has served so well, and smartly. And her ball is so completely different from that of Halep that it's not the same game for Jo.

But I think it's been close and agree with nico.

And right on cue, Venus does throw in some errors, and Jo breaks back to 15 with a super return out wide
