Phew. More relief than anything. But great to see Evo in the FQR.
Just a note on his QR1 opponent. Twitter reporting the Yen Hsun Lu has just withdrawn from the MD. Had he done so a day (and a bit) earlier, Vanni would have been promoted to the MD. So we know already that there is at least 1 LL spot open.

Actually the first alt was Matt Ebden. If he had made the main draw direct, his wild card would have been reassigned.
Ok a brief explanation on what happened out there. The wind was terrible. Dans main problem was his slice got wind effected more and he was very frustrated. Both players serves were a lottery. So many went long with the wind and clipped net against. Dan mentioned to the press he did have mental issues at end of zecond set. Dans touch play kept him in the match and Dan managed to move Amr around with ease. Defence was solid to such an extent that Amr fired wide and long a lot

Yep great result and thanks for braving it out behind enemy lines on a packet of trail mix (do the SAS carry power aid).
Although conditions difficult good to have got through it without a big physiological hit from the blazing sun.
Looking forward to FQR
