Stuart Fraser reporting the following on Twitter.

Murray says if he is fit, he will play Davis Cup quarters if GB make it. Packed summer schedule on tour this year.

He says it clearly on the interview that Catherine Whitaker did with him (very nice interview): thetennispodcast.libsyn.com/andy-murray-on-fatherhood-10-years-at-the-top-and-plans-to-play-into-his-mid-30s. Lovely to hear him talk about the team.

And how wonderful that the team has been nominated in the team section of the Laureus Awards. Well done, they!

It's been reported on the BBC that he will be available for all ties this year.

Prepared to miss Cincinnati to play.

Cincinnati is not until the week after the Olympics so no direct connection between the Davis Cup and it unless he just means taking a week out of his summer schedule, more because of the Olympics. Would mean going from the Olympics on clay, a two week gap and then the US Open on hard.

Toronto follows the Davis Cup QF with a week in between. The Davis Cup SF follows the US Open.

Thanks Bob. So it is indeed Cincinnati that he is considering not playing, though that would be a cumulative Davis Cup and Olympics thing.

If the QF were to be say on clay, I'd be very surprised to see Andy there. Grass to clay to hard to clay to hard - hmm.

Oops, thanks wolf. I'd always assumed clay and missed all reports to the contrary.

As I was saying, Andy - grass to ( possibly ) clay to hard - hmmish.

Yes, I think everyone had assumed it would be on clay.

I assume the hypothetical DC QF will be on clay, as more than likely it will be Serbia away.

Morning!

Anyone know what time they will announce the final fixtures, and any news on Kyle's fitness?

Thanks!

I've not seen any official information on Kyle's physical condition, however, the line-up for tomorrow has been announced as Andy, Jamie, Dan & Dom. Which suggests that Kyle hasn't gotten over whatever injury he picked up.
