RE: Week 38 - Challenger ($50,000) Columbus, USA (Hard)

QF:  Quentin Halys (FRA) & Josh Milton CR 2219 (710+1509) defeated (1) Dean O'Brien & Ruan Roelofse (RSA/RSA) CR 268 (132+136) by 3-6 6-2 [10-8]  biggrin

The match to decide the boys' semi-final opponents is still in play.

Good stuff. Good for Josh to get back on court again so soon after his last grim singles match and get such a good looking win in partnership with young Halys.

I doubt Brydan threw it, much more likely it was one of those days where things don't quite come off. Bore off Twitter trolls.

 Who said he did?!

I got the impression that it's nothing other than some Twitter idiots, the sort that come out with all sorts of nasty stuff when their bet goes down the tube and don't quite get that if such ranking / form upsets were hardly unusual, for generally no other reason than players aren't machines, it would be a rather boring tennis world and indeed betting world.

The "old timers" a round too far:

SF:  Chase Buchanan & Blaz Rola (USA/SLO) CR 465 (172+293) defeated Quentin Halys (FRA) & Josh Milton CR 2219 (710+1509) by 4 & 1  hmm

No shame in that. They are a very good team. Can't quite work out why their rankings are so low.

I know.  I had meant to add that it was still a good run & clicked on "submit" before I remembered!

To be clear, it was a semi final.

Ah yes, it was a run to the SF with the very good win vs the number 1 seeds being in the QF. Someone misled me

They are both primarily focussed on their singles careers. Rola has only played 9 doubles tournaments in the last 12 months.
