Interested to see how Njoze does in a 25K.

Australia is a long way for Dunne to go for a 15K. Are there a series of tournaments down there?

Yes - the 15K is followed by 3 x 25k's. The tournaments historically have been quite weak, so i'd expect Katy to make main draw in the 25ks and pick up some wins.

So that makes 2 straight weeks Liam will be playing Futures after not playing any ranking events since US Open qualifiers. With Challengers available that he could get into with his current ranking I assume he is working on getting some wins under his belt and maybe working on some elements of his game that he feels have let him down over the last few months.

I hope this is just a temporary step down in level with an eye on really building back up on the Challenger circuit at the end of the year and into next year as I feel Liam has the game to be a consistent top 100 player.  Difficult to know exactly what the thinking is in his camp at the moment, stalking twitter feeds only gets you so much information, but I hope this is a positive and not a negative development.

He's playing a British Tour event this week (today 17/9) - that makes 10Ks look quite glam !

I'm sure it's about getting wins under his belt !! and not a lack of ambition.

I wouldn't be too surprised if he pulls out if having to go through qualifying, though if he manages to get in directly he might be up for it. Truth is you never know.

I'm not sure why people think he wouldn't go out to Turkey. He is 5th alt and i'd expect him to get in directly or be top seed in qualifying. Dan now has something to prove regarding the Davis Cup selection or at least going as a squad player.

I agree, paulisi, rather than can't see him being in Turkey I would think he will be.

As I say, if he gets in as a DA I'd expect him out there. If not, possibly less so - though I'd like to see him out there anyway. Certainly a point to prove to stay in Leon's plans

Unsurprisingly Evans has withdrawn.
