Nico, of course we disagree, and people often criticise both each other's posts and positions taken by the authorities on various issues. All permissible and often very illuminating. And it's quite a lot of fun, sometimes, seeing how positions change over time!
But as philwrig has said above, I think people are generally quite averse to statements like "there really are no excuses," made without full awareness of circumstances and with a tone that implies that we, who are, let's face it, generally just tennis fans, can somehow sit in judgement on a player who has accomplished as much as Ms Robson.
That's before we get to the content of the supposition, which is that a player returning from such a long lay-off "should" improve markedly and rapidly. We clearly disagree on that. There are points to debate, and you're entitled to your opinion, too - and to express it! But if we're going to debate, it helps if we all keep the tone respectful, whatever the content.

Laura was due to play week 40 in Kirkland but although still listed does not appear in either qualifying or main draws. It looks as if she is having a time out for some reason, perhaps she did have a problem which caused the sudden turnaround in her match in this tournament.
