Another excellent win for Miss Broady taking it 6-3 in the 3rd. That's an extra 50 points in the bag and a hefty pay rise too I believe. Taking full advantage of her LL slot :)
Really impressed by Naomi today. Tatishvili didn't do a lot wrong but Naomi was so consistent after losing her way for a few games at the end of the first set. She looks so composed on court at the moment, and whenever things went against her in sets two and three (e.g. missing 5 set points/one match point) it didn't affect the following points at all.
I've really enjoyed watching Naomi when her matches have been streamed over the past few weeks - she plays completely differently to any other of the British girls with her mix of aggressive shots and slices off both wings.
Ostapenko in the semi final - there are tougher WTA semi final opponents out there (though she did just win 1&0 today so must be playing well).

Excellent win by Naomi, she really had to work hard for that. Her serve wasn't quite as good as yesterday but given how important this match was she did very well to serve it out at 5-3 in the final set. Her first WTA semi-final and she must be thrilled as are we all in this forum. Theres one thing seeing an opportunity open up, its another taking advantage of that so there was quite a lot of pressure on her last two matches.
I think it will be a very tough match for Naomi against Ostapenko whose only 18 and rising quickly up the rankings, she came through qualifying at the US Open and won her first round match before losing to Sara Errani in 3 sets.
