That Lucky Loser slot just gets luckier and luckier.
Well done, Naomi.
And, as a separate point, are the LTA looking at what a good coaching change can do ???? Both Naomi and JoKo have had 'lightbulb' moments this season, thanks (largely, I reckon) to astute coaching changes.
Shame the LTA stick with the old ones for SO long, with SO little in the way of results.
Excellent performance by Broady and her serve was superb. When she serves this well she always has a chance of beating higher ranked opponents, the indoor season should really be good for her without those elements that can effect her serve. Very happy to see her taking advantage of two decent draws, she has a good chance to get to the final if she continues to play this well.
Didn't see the match, but sounds like a very good performance from Naomi - when a draw opens up like this, it's always interesting to see which players have the presence of mind to grab the opportunity with both hands and Naomi is doing that so far.
The points and prize money start to ramp up from now on if she can keep it going.
Great to see Naomi continue her rich vein of form, next round will be a little bit tougher, but still still very winnable. Got to take it one match at a time though, look at its if its a great opportunity, and it'll probably be her undoing.

She seems to be in a good frame of mind and her serve is working excellently so far. I was impressed by the way she played and didn't let those missed BP opportunities effect her in the first set. In the second set she upped her level even more and her serve was even better, if she continues to serve that well it puts a lot of pressure on her opponent. Whatever happens its been a good week for her. There is still room for improvement in her game, especially in her movement.
