Poor Marcus Walters was 5-2 up in that third set..... but that's the experience of playing good, pro, ranked players .... a shame though.....

At Roehampton.

That's a standard abbreviation, no?

If it is, I've never come across it before, but then, I don't mix with regular tennis-goers. no  A capital "R" might have helped...

Marcus Walters ‏@marcuswalters98 14h14 hours ago

Lost 4-6 6-4 6-7 today against the 4th seed. Played well, lots of positives and things to learn for next time. #strive

Nice to see young Marcus taking the positives out of a big match that he so very nearly won.

While I am in Brazil, I am 4 hours behind UK time, so I get used to getting up in the morning and immediately coming here for an update of the days early scores. So I got up as usual this morning and logged in here to see how the Nottingham second round matches were progressing but there were no posts with any scores.

It took me about 15 seconds to remember and say to myself: "Oops, you're in Spain now you dope and 1 hour ahead of UK".  no

I am getting old.

Can someone tell me a bit about Niel Pauffley please? I have spotted him getting some very positive comments on this sight so I'm curious and eager to know more.I am assuming he is coming back from injury currently but I get the impression that his CH of about 400 is not too reflective of his potential either - if so what is the story behind him not doing more by age 25? I notice he did pretty well against Evo last week. What kind of style does he play? Hoping to find him causing an upset this lunchtime.

We have a Neil expert on the forum

So hopefully she'll see this and maybe have some offerings.

Luke B won the first set 6-3 but JWH is serving for the second at 5-3 (mind you, he was a break up before and got broken straight back . . .)

Neil took the first 6-2. On serve in the second.

But Dave Rice was the first past the post today, with a clean win, 1&0, against Sam Ferguson.

Gabb looks well on track to win too.

Josh WH manages to beat Bambo 6-4 in the third.

Josh has so many points coming off in the next couple of months that he'll be well outside the top 1000 if he doesn't get some decentish points soon.

Anyway, here's hoping it's the start of a new positive-vibe and results phase down at Soto.

JWH takes out Bambo in three tight sets

Bob will be getting excited with Gabb and Dr.Ice picking up useful points

Possibly a slightly biased view coming from me though!
