I guess Evo will be missing qualifying in Turkey if he does well here. Would like to see him back at Challenger level but hopefully he can bag himself 27 more points here and look to make some main draws.
So no Marcus and the juniors have two wildcards. A guaranteed first point for either Foley or Ferguson.
As for the four foreigners - Pavic should get past Marcus Walters, JWH v Larriere might be tight, Bambo should beat Nicolas and Harry might have a few issues with the Swiss.

He'll be up at Glasgow next week as a hitting partner(possibly Liam as well), hence why he is playing here.
The juniors have got three wildcards, in fact, but pleased for all of them - they seem a nice, hard-working group.
And the Q Brits did a great job, keeping it an all-Brit affair - here's hoping tomorrow will be as good . . . (although, as you say, paulisi, a couple are going to have real trouble)
Smethers has obviously not showed up - wonder if he's OK or is off elsewhere?
sorry: the line above crossed with other people's comment...

Wonder whether it's because there's also the Nott. Tour event going on at the same time and a lot of the qualifiers here, who lost, who would normally have signed up fro doubles, are playing the Tour event singles instead.
Really hoping Dan E can make the final here. I only live about 45 minutes from Nottingham and would love to get down and watch at the weekend. Am I right in thinking the final will be on Saturday?

Presumably Sunday if the main draw isn't getting going until tomorrow, Wednesday.
