Very sad but this title has to read 'girls' and there is no British representation in the boys event, not even the qualis.

Alexis Canter was down, and very close to making it. In fact, the Irish player, Bjorn Thomson, was one lower on the acceptance list and he made the qualis. So I'm not quite sure why Alexis didn't ...

But, net, net, there's no GB boys . . .

 

In the girls, Katie gets a R1 that I'm mighty interested in following, Maia the 6th seed and Em Arb a decentish R1 but will get (2) Galfi in R2 if she wins (who beat her at Roehampton)

 

R1: (5) Katie Swan v Tessah Andrianjafitrimo (FRA)

R1: Maia Lumsden v (6) Anna Kalinskaya (RUS)* 

R1: Emily Arbuthnott v Ingrid Neel (USA)

 

* Anna beat Maia 2&4 two weeks ago
