Slightly disappointed at this result, to be honest. I'm at GMT +2 at the moment, so I went to bed with Aljaz looking comfortable at 6-3 2-0 (incidentally, with Murray looking like he was going to concede the second set...) and was hoping to wake and see he had made the third round of a Slam for the first time in his career. I was hoping that Young was tired after his five-setter, especially considering Ali's lucky break against Gulbis in R1.
FIVE unconverted games from Aljaz. That kind of momentum swing probably makes a big difference. If he'd have closed out those games it may well have been a different story...
Overkill, if you ask me. Never bother looking at the posts myself. Not a nerd, so not interested in that kind of detail...
You have 15000 posts on the forum, so you are a definite tennis nerd.
Maybe I should have said "statistics anorak": murrayman's blow-by-blow accounts make me lose the will to live, hence my refusal even to look at his posts.
Not everybody likes my style of post , I accept that but that just how I do it , so I guess you don't have to read it.
Just thought I'd add my appreciation too Murrayman. I've just been away for a week without proper chance to check what went on in the US Open so it is nice to have chance to read your as-it happened coverage and enjoy a bit of tention and anticipation which you dont get even from a lot of highlights videos.

not massively interested in point-by-point posts but can see how it can be valuable to others, especially to get a flavour of the match if not following in real time.
one thing that might be appreciated though is keeping the format a bit more concise so those that don't want to scroll through pages of it don't have to,. e.g. "15-0; 15-15; 15-30; 15-40; 30-40; 50-40; adv Aljaz; game Aljaz *4-2" on a single line instead of 9!
hey, obviously its entirely up to you Murrayman how you post and nothing contentious whatsoever in the content, just would make it easier for some of us to navigate around!!
^ Agree with this, despite initially being against the posts (if that's the word) I quite enjoy reading them now especially when I haven't watched a match.
Definitely put it all on one line though makes it much easier to read
Actually if you are following through a match in "real time" after the event I rather like following the scoring as murrayman sets it out, spaced out point by point down the way. To me it adds more of the literally following it point by point rather than here's a one or two line summary, which while imparting the same info is much more - here's the game summary .
You only get the same number of posts per page even if they are shorter / smaller ( I believe 15 is the standard setting, but you can reset ). And it would defeat the whole "real time" aspect ( which is clearly what some folk see benefit in ) to generally put more than his usual two games in a post, since they wiuld then conflict chronilogically with other updates and comments.
If I am watching live or follwing live scores myself at the time they are neither particularly here nor there to me. I have interjected updates and comments without feeling there was any issue

Also not interested in point by point posts (tie breaks excepted maybe) but no real objection if others enjoy them. However, got to agree with goldenboy regarding the layout. Find it really frustrating if dipping into the forum quickly to see if any comments or chatter on a match to find I have to go through reams of numbers before I can find anything else!
