Unfortunately, Katie Swan also lost out today, losing 6-7(5) 7-5 6-2

Emily+ won her doubles though.

edit: sorry, Tony, just duplicated yours

Makes a nice change to be the one who is just ahead in the duplicate posting smile

Pity, but hopefully decently tuned up for the big one.

Katie had runner up points to defend here, so will probably drop a little in the rankings next week and she then has US Open doubles points to defend.

Sorry if I have missed a post somewhere whilst away, but I don't see any mention of the fact that Emily and Emilie lifted the trophy (3rd Grade 1 of the year for Emily and second with Emilie) smile

Doubles F

(4) Arbuthnott/Francati (GBR/DEN) d. (2) Andreescu/Sebov (CAN) 7-6(3) 0-6 [10-8]

No, I'm pretty sure you haven't missed a post, David. And I missed them off my Week 35 titles post. Now up to 6 junior ( and 3 senior ) titles last week. Actually I vaguely recall meaning to watch for their progress last week, but clearly I forgot. So certainly thanks for that.

We seem to be in to missing Emily/ies ( and in pretty big events ) at the moment since we managed to initially totally miss that EWS was in China in a WTA 125K and doing very well, until PaulM spotted her.

Curious ...

Drat. I remember typing that post out - with winners cups and everything....cry......must've forgot to hit 'submit'....

Well done, girls !!!!

Glad someone's on top of things, David smile

PS If there is anyone else called Emily who would like to go and achieve something noteworthy next week - and promptly be ignored - please feel free - we'll get to you in the end !
