so, as CD reported earlier:
SF: (1) David O'Hare (IRL) & Joe Salisbury CR 547 (243+304) vs (4) Adrien Bossel & Henri Laaksonen (SUI/FIN) CR 1348 (754+594) SF: (3) James Marsalek & Marcus Willis CR 1025 (669+356) vs Neil Pauffley & David Rice CR 1681 (1454+227)
No surprise that Bossel was turned over. I've seen him a few times live and he is so reliant on his serve and if that falls over, he doesn't have much else. His ground shots aren't very consistent. Fair play to Marcus for winning so convincingly - hoping Marcus can pull off another big result in the semi finals.
Whoever bets Halys will win this tournament he's a class act and will be top 100 this time next year
Maybe, but I do get the impression that Halys is still very unpredictable.
He may well win the tournament, but he may well not. There, that's my bases covered

Yes. I agree. Huge talent. Top 100 for next year is not unreasonable.
But still a very 'young' player. And it shows.
And, until last week, had won remarkably little in the past few months (partly because he'd been largely trying challengers, to be sure, but all the same).
