Play is underway - not sure if outdoors or indoors...

The big serving Swiss is well ahead of Josh Paris

Robbie and Marcus are both a break up and Goodall is on serve

Matches are indoors. I'm pleased they didn't hang around for 3 hours to decide that it was going to be raining all day, as is so often the case. Straight indoors from the beginning. Also - very excited for a win for Neil finally!

Bruce has just turned over Dr. Ice in straight sets.... Dave is really struggling at the moment.

Evo an early break up

Well done to Bruce, but pity about Dave's form.

I understand that he moved his coaching / training set up to a much smaller, more intimate base a little while ago.

Results to date have certainly not been forthcoming.

Good to hear - thanks for the firsthand info. I did think the planning for the women at Woking was just plain daft (especially when the weather forecast was spot on).

And well done, Neil. as you say, nice to see a long-overdue win smile

Nice to see Lloyd continuing to show that his semi-final a couple of years back was not a fluke.

Adam TB, to be fair, doesn't have anything in his arsenal that Evo could find difficult.

Well done to Neil.

At least this week no need to speculate if there were any indoor court facilities. Just a few.

Scott Clayton turned over Joe S.

Gabb came through two tie-breaks v mark W

Smethers got the first set on a TB v Keelan.

Jamie W 6-2 up on Jonnie G

Another tie-break, this time for Bambo and JWH - which Bambo edges.

Slight surprise to see Scott turn over Joe.

George C is a break up on Dan C
Jonathan Gray is a break up in the second set

The Coupland/Cox score seems to have stood still for the last 10 mins.

I wonder if there's a MTO

Smethers wins the second set, easily.

Bambo a break up.

Jonnie G back on serve

Milts and Halys won easily.

Dan Cox came through in three.

In the dubs, glad to see that Britain's answer to the Bryan brothers (the Gan twins) got a wildcard, after winning the big title at Sutton.

Would be expecting Evo to take the title here quite comfortably if he plays anywhere near the level of Vancouver.

Very positive start just dropping the one game today, looks like a new attitude with Dan recently to want to turn up at these smaller events and get the job done

Evo fit + Evo head in the right place = a very good player

Poor Neil gets next go. Be interesting ...

And our Bryan brothers win

Just one more and the twins will have their first doubles ranking, then just a little bit more and they're number one in the world.....

Every marathon starts with a single step . . .
