A win for Josh G puts out the last 'pesky' from the qualifiers.

Adam TB beat Curtis Clarke

Jonnie Gray also beat Imran and George Coupland came through a three-setter against Sam Price

Great to hear that Oli G is having a go in the doubles. Mind you, when I saw him down at Surbiton I didn't think he 'was looking very fit'..... Not surprised that he's giving singles a miss.

The singles draw is out.

The good news is that two of the four 'peskies' are drawn against each other, and that Dan Evans has turned up as a wc (Cox, Jathan Malik and Hoyt have the other ones)

So short of the two top seeds, and one further peskie R2 place, this is a 100% Brit affair (of course, the two top seeds may well wish to ruin the party).

On the minus side, sorry to see that Josh Paris has drawn the top seed in round 1, and that Luke Bambridge and Josh W-H have been drawn against each other :::(((

Hopefully the winner of that Luke vs JWH match can build on the initial R1 win.

Many thanks for the The Optimist. So, just as Huntley said, but continuing out into junior ITFs and adults ITFs .... that's interesting.

Is there by any chance a web page/ site/ whatever that lists the weighting of all the events?

http://www.lta.org.uk/competitions/player-ratings-rankings/british-tennis-rankings/

To the right hand side there's a list of age groups which lead to the points available in the various levels of domestic competition for each age group.

Lower down there is a blue menu and one option leads to info on age group weightings and one leads to info on how international points are dealt with

The only problem with (almost) all Brit draws, is you always end up with your favourite players playing against each other.

Totally agree and a singles comeback would be even better. I always thought that a year in the real world would perhaps help him see that professional tennis might not be such a bad option after all, although I don't think he'll have done himself any favours with regard to getting funding and wildcard opportunities from the LTA. Time will tell with what he wants to do....

Do they charge much to watch? Anyone know if you can park in the NTC or you have to use one of the local side roads? Thinking of popping in for a bit tomorrow.

I hope he enjoys this week and gets a taste for it. Good to hear he has a racket in his hand.

I'm pretty sure it's free.

I went a couple of times two years back (three years?) and it was certainly free then. (Although a bit imposing at the gates where you have to buzz to be allowed in).

I went by public transport so don't know about parking. But it's certainly easy to park in the side roads.

Well worth going. The NTC centre has to be seen - amazing structure. facilities, space - and all, effectively, standing pretty much un-used . . .

NB The food was SO bad when I went (although the caterers may have changed) but truly horrible (and hardly healthy) - almost worth using the restaurant just to experience it.

And, of course, the tennis is great. You're very close to all the courts. When I went, Tara Moore and Heather and others were there, not playing obviously (it was a men's event) but just training. Probably not so now. But there are other figures you may well know. Always interesting.

Like others, very glad to see Mr Golding playing, even if not in singles. Hope it goes well. Sounds like a rather good and interesting roster of players all around.

Edit: Bother - just saw that Mr Golding's first match is against Mr Bambridge and Mr Clayton ... who could also use this tournament to push onwards. Sigh. See other comments about majority-Brit draws and their status as mixed blessing!

Brad - please note that the rankings published are last week's rankings and new rankings are now available on the ATP site. ITF site doesn't tend to change until tomorrow.
