First Set Kvitova

Kvitova takes the set 7-5. Harsh on Jo, but possibly a case of experience telling at the end of the set.

Jo hardly put a foot wrong in that set though, until that last point and the double fault.

A real shame for Konta losing that set as she played some great tennis. Kvitova played well on the break points but was lucky to win that set, its going to be hard going for Konta now given no rewards for what has been an excellent display so far.

Kvitova looks to be in control of all the rallies now, does Jo need to play more aggressively or stick around and hope for Petra to drop her level, which is often guilty of doing?

Petra lost at both Roland Garros and Wimbledon to players she was beating a lot more comfortably than this in the first sets.
