Absolutely super press session - video here: www.usopen.org/en_US/interactive/video/index.html. Ms Konta comes across so well: mature, grounded, honest and self-confident (even in her posture as she listens to questions). It's the last of these that is new - she's always come across well but seemed a little tentative and hesitant before in videos that I've seen. Wonderful to see.

Super indeed
I DO wish it were possible to hear the questions! I spend half my time trying to work out what they were.

If you go to bit.ly/usr3joko, it has the full transcript underneath the video.
Wonderful stuff from JoKo. I can't help thinking back to 2013, the first time she won Vancouver - back then, she was on a similar winning streak (and at a career high 112) going into USO qualifying, where she was the 8th seed, but she had reached R2 from qualifying the year before and was upset in QR1 by Rogowska, falling nearly 30 places after the USO as a result.
What a difference this year, not just carrying her form all the way into the USO main draw but getting even better. She now seems likely to end the USO in the top 60, even if she doesn't beat Kvitová, and as GB no. 1 ranked around 50 if she does.
We all knew 'all' she had to do was get her head together enough to close out matches, didn't we

I think Juan Coto and Estaban Carill should get a special mention in the Honours List. Or win foreign Sports Personality of the Year. Or get Papal dispensation to be 'sainted' whilst still alive. Nothing could be too big.
And the LTA get zero credit.
CD, you are being too kind giving the LTA zero credit .
On a different Andy related note, on the two times in his career a British Woman has made R4 of a slam, he has gone on to win the whole tournament. Hopefully JoKo's run here is a similarly good omen!

(5) Kvitova (CZE) or Konta (GBR) vs (22) Stosur (AUS) or (26) Pennetta (ITA)
Clearly Jo is the underdog next up but.... Petra has never been beyond R4 at the USO and although she's had a great year generally this year she hasn't gone beyond R4 in any of the Slams so those are straws in the wind I'm liking the look of
Apparently Konta plays in the night session tomorrow at midnight UK time. This is going to make life even more difficult for her, first time on Arthur Ashe court under the lights. I would have much preferred to see her in the day time on Louis Armstrong court.
But what an experience, surely having a chance to win on Arthur Ashe under lights is what it is all about, hopefully Jo will get a taste for it, at 24 there is an opportunity to play at this level for some time. Lights, drama action!
