I agree that Johanna should be aiming for Rio. Jeez, playing like that, she should be top 30 at least.

Andy won in 5 sets and it was still 6 minutes shorter than Jo's match - a sign how how long that match was.

Petko apparently is also carrying a knee problem , so as long as Jo recovers well and doesn't tighten up she has a great chance in R3.

Just SUCH a good result from Jo

Given my German Eurosport situation, I saw practically the whole of Petkovic's match against Garcia - which was a super match which arguably Caroline should have won and closed out. Andrea looked OK - certainly didn't look unfit/injured (although may well be) - but, as often, a lot of pretty poor stuff thrown in with the good/excellent - she certainly looked very 'playable'.

Just read through the thread. I had to go out just after Gabi had levelled up, and feared the worst. I'm sooo glad and proud of Jo that my fears were not realised. If Laura stays well, we could have three women into at least R3 this time next year - how awesome would that be!
I'm really looking forward to Saturday now. Well done Jo.

Jo's form is again pretty well recognised by the bookies, but is it even outpacing them ?

Not unexpectedly I'd say, she is slightly shorter odds against Petkovic on bet365 than she was against Murguruza.

Well, if she goes onto a show court, let's hope she gets a better schedule than some people today. Armstrong has Cilic and Kukushkin - now into 5 sets and 4+ hours - followed by Bouchard/Cibulkova, and then Ferrer/Chardy ... and only then Madison Keys v Agnieszka Radwanska. This has the potential to lead to court changes or midnight matches.

No issues with delays likely (barring rain issues) - she's first up at 11:00 am on Armstrong. Doing a tour of the big courts ....

Anett Kontaveit, who battled past Naomi 7-6(4) 2-6 6-4 in the FQR, has found reaching the L16 in the main draw less taxing !
