the girls lost their doubles, 6-2 6-1, against the top seeds.

But well done to both. Always nice to add to the silverware.

Neither Olivia nor Aimee get a point for their troubles.

Lucky losers who lose r1 get r1 prize money but FQR points (zero). Qualifiers who pull out before playing round one get FQR prize money and points.

I'm surprised if that's the case with Aimee  I was making the distinction between the qualifying point from winning the FQR which gets added at the R2 stage, and which I didn't see her getting, and the point for just competing in R1 which I thought all R1 competitors would get.

i.e. that her in theory points progression were 1, 5, 9 ..  ( the standard 25K points ) rather than 1, 6, 10 .... ( what a FQR winner would get ). So, if it was 0, 5, 9, . ( I assume that's the implication ) then I'm wrong ( not for the first time ! ) and a LL is unusually getting less than a standard R1 entrant. But I'm not convinced.

Not often that I'm wrong, but I'm wrong again

Aimee Gibson hasn't retained her ranking, which means that she can't have got a point as a LL in Woking. Err, as Paul said then re 25K LLs.
