RE: Week 33 - ITF ($10K) - Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain Clay

Helen took the first set 6-4, but in the context Helen was the only player to hold serve and only the once. 9 DF's in the opening set is a concern again.

Bagel cry

Pity.

In the overall scheme of things I wouldn't be overconcerned about this double fault hiatus this week. I'm not aware of anything like this at Chiswick last week (?) I would imagine some very resolvable technical issues there, and I'm much more interested for now in Helen's general competitiveness otherwise.

On that, pity and more concerning about the fall away and can't help but wonder if some energy issues have struck. However she may still be having to manage this, I so admire her fortitude.

Ah, if that's more a short term illness / bug (?), again pity, but bigger picture and onward ...

Very unfortunate for Helen. She seems to be coping well though with her health issues. Hoping for a quick recovery.
