A let-off for Neil this week! smile

L32:  Neil Pauffley WR 922 (CH = 406 in February 2013) vs Jannis Kahlke (GER) WR 1171 (CH = 1076 last month)

Don't fluff your lines now, lad!

What ? No Nš1 seed for Neil ?

Sherbert has just breathed an enormous sigh of relief.

I would be lying if I said I didn't get a little excited when I saw this...not even a seed first round! Just got to hope he keeps up playing well this week...we all know consistency isn't Neil's strong point.

I was going to post that whoever you draw you still need to beat them

Neil may have an easier draw on paper, but he's not made a good start. 2-4 down

So much for an easier draw....

It was, as far as one could see, an easier draw, so to be welcomed.

I sincerely doubt that Neil took it any easier though, but sometimes your best tennis is not there on the day.

Looks annoyingly that he may not have played as well as in some of these matches with top seeds.

Darn .. .

What can I say? I knew 2 games in he wasn't going to win. Neil's biggest pet hates in an opponent are 'lefties' and people who push the ball in...guess what kind of player he was against today? That's right - a leftie pusher! Just hasn't gone his way this trip at all...I've enjoyed the tour round Germany though. Thanks for the support - as always!
