I think Dan has enough experience to manage his body and manage his etat d'esprit. I'm guessing that his logic is that he feels that he absolutely must have more than a week's rest and recuperation follwed by a week's training before he gets back to competition. Also, Bangkok and Shanghai would be an expensive trip, and his sojourns to the far east haven't always been fruitful. Given his form this week, I think playing Futures again any time soon would be a mistake. It is far more important that he stays fresh for the bigger events. Will it be Turkey or back to the US? He probably doesn't even know himself...
Completely pointless statistic here but it's late and I'm working and I don't care. Our Mr Evans is actually the highest ATP ranked player to have played less than 10 tournaments in 2015 - #tabletopper

Makes a lot of sense to me. Was just saying I could still see the British 15Ks happening ( if prepared to give him more WCs ), but I certainly can see arguments against them.
I expected Dan to withdraw couldn't see him travelling all that way for one tournament then coming back for the following weeks 15k back home. WC Roehampton I would expect now
