Luke is actually down to WR 786 on this week's rankings. And has had a couple of nasty losses recently.
Gabb made the semis though so is moving in the right direction.
But Brad has a point - yes, they could both use the win - but, then again, they could both do with avoiding a loss too - and at least this way one of the will succeed in that !
Richard Gabb, interestingly, not doing the doubles this week (maybe it's his last week and wants to get home?)
So Luke and Farris have decided not to renew last week's very unfruitful partnership (don't blame them...); instead, Luke's with Scott, and Farris has teamed up with Santiago from the US
R1: (WC) Alexander Jesse & Brian Page (USA/USA) UNR vs Farris Gosea & Mico Santiago (USA) UNR (*)
R1: Andrew Carter & Dennis Nevolo (USA/USA) CR 2235 vs (2) Luke Bambridge & Scott Clayton CR 600 (322+278)
(*) Santiago is currently unranked in doubles, but has a CH of 1473 from February 2013, while Farris moved up 147 places to a CH of 627 in yesterday's rankings.
