He'll be better than Farris very shortly I feel. Great chance to go deep now.

Great to have a player outside the top 500 that genuinely excites as looking to have good prospects

PS : I called the match beforehand "interesting". Congrats to those who went much more out on a limb.

That's a Career High win for Lloyd.

That was a L16 win, right? Lloyd is indeed a very exciting prospect and that's a great win on any day.

Sam Taylor is the half-English lad (I assume it's his dad.....). Like young Evan Furness in France, if ever they'd like to swell the ranks of GB players, they'd be very welcome !

Had to look up Crépatte - never heard of him.

Seemingly a student at Grenoble university - played a lot of tennis this year - team, money tournaments and a couple of ITFs. Some pretty decent results too. Good domestic ranking. Neil beat him earlier in the year, though.

Good win for Lloyd. Anyone seen him play and any thoughts on his potential?

I did see him at Didsbury last year briefly, but I don't remember anything about the match.

Meanwhile he marches on again leading 6-1 5-3 and on for another 6pts

He went a break down early in the second set, but got it back - obviously!  wink

Yes. I've seen him briefly on livestream a bit last year (one of the college matches). But honestly can't remember anything of relevance to say.

the US college tennis followers probably have the best idea of his potential - certainly you always see his name at the top of the US college lists.

Certainly seems to like Scandinavia - wraps it up here, after his previous big run (to the semis) had been in Denmark.....

Also, a friend of Dan Evans, I believe.....

That should push him into the low 800's
