Already back into the top 200 after last week in Washington, sod all to defend for the rest of the year ( 10 pointer in October, which will be at most a net 2 given her current best non counter of 8 ) and now into the final here. Things are looking up

She's set herself a goal of top 100 to get main draw entry at slams and I really do think that is absolutely achievable. Another couple of ITF runs like this will help hugely.

Naomi has not had the toughest of opposition in this tournament but I doubt she is complaining about that! It would be great if she can go on and win the final.

Shelby might have played badly but she is still the No.2 seed. And let's not take anything away from Broady - she playing well the previous week winning a round in a WTA tournament after qualifying too right? She's probably in the best form she's ever been outside of the British grass season.

Naomi loses the first set 4-6

Just the one break, at 4-4 after Naomi missed 3 break points at 4-3. Tight first set, where Naomi didn't quite make enough of her big shots against her more consistent opponent but not much in it.

Naomi's unforced errors killed her in that set. Most of them missing by miles. Anderson isn't making many errors and has hit a few nice shots.
