RE: Week 32 - ITF ($10K) - Chiswick, UK Hard

Both of the youngsters, I think, just served for the first set (Emily definitely but I think Gerogie Axon did too).

Anyway. now back on serve in both matches ....

Katy doggedly ups he game and breaks, closing out the set at 7-5

But Emily Arb breaks harriet again and takes the first set 6-4

Ms Dunne's willpower is one of her real assets, isn't it. Really admire her determination.

Well done Ms Arbuthnott. Fantastic result. Wins 6-4, 6-1 against Harriet

A bit of a surprise with Emily winning and good to see Katy getting some good match practice in - it will boost her confidence.

Emily will have at least 8pts from 2 counters with a likely wildcard into Woking to get a third counter.

With a Heather-esque game as CD mentioned recently, I can see why Emily can be a tough cookie to crack if ones game is not on.

Won't need a third counter if she wins the final

But yes already still a very good shout for a WC anyway.

Katy has taken the first set, 6-3.

Katy started well, breaking almost immediately.

And has done very well, fending off the break points. She's saved 6 out of 6 (or Em Arb has converted 0 our of 6, whichever way you want it). And taken 2 out of 3 herself.
