An efficient win: 6-1 6-2.

Watched the second set. Up to 4-0, his opponent looked as if he really didn't want to be there - but then started to throw everything into every shot and actually made it into more of a match.

I don't normally get to watch a whole set of matches, but this one was ... speedy.

Missed all the action but sounds a very solid win. May have to watch the rerun on fast forward to get a feel for the match.

Without looking at other players involvement this week, it looks to me that a semi final place won't quite get Kyle into the Top 100, although it may be borderline. A place in the final should do it for sure. But regardless of that, the milestone now seems imminent as Kyle only has 15 points coming off in the next 3 months (7th Sept). After that, his next points drop is not until 9th November. So unless injury or something else extraordinary happens, this US hardcourt stretch will allow Kyle to tick off that milestone and move on to the next one.

Might get some Davis Cup ranking points in September too at some venue or other

If selected 70 points to beat an Aussie in a live match.

Yep, they did say that was when the venue would be announced and I don't think I've missed anything else.
