Other events - Week 31

At the G5 in St. Lucia, George Davis - who has only just turned 14 and had only played one junior ITF event before - came through qualifying and won his first round match.

So congrats to him on his first ranking points, and good luck in round 2.

Max Benaim (5) also won his first round match.

Zeki Horoz is also playing in the G3 in Uzbekistan.

Grade 4 out in Zimbabwe- Jack Burkill, Luke Hammond and Luke Purser though to last 16. Not sure about Alistair Gray.

Cheers, Matt. I think DavidC has given them a specific thread, as there's quite a few of them, and they're doing well. It should be further down the Junior thread list.

Hannah not staying out for the second week?

Good luck to all smile

Youngster George Davis came through another round and has made the quarters in St. Lucia. Max lost.

Zeki had to retire in Uzbekistan.

Not quite the usual, but for those who are interested, the USTA is live streaming matches from their national championships: ustaboys.secantnet.net/. The field (as noted elsewhere) is strong: the Wimbledon champion is the 6th seed. I've only watched briefly twice, but it was enough to confirm the strength of the competition.
