I see that Billy Harris def. Scott Clayton in three tight sets a few weeks ago in the final of the NatWest Island games

Two good results here:


FQR: Billy Harris UNR def. (q5) David Chaplefeh Forchap (GER) WR 1525 (CH = 1489 last month) 6-4 7-5

FQR: (q3) Evan Hoyt WR 1272 def. Thomas Servien (FRA) UNR 6-0 6-1


Interesting (in a way) to see that the four in R! are all practically the same age and with the same profile in juniors (with Evan in front)....


R1: (q) Billy Harris UNR (age 20, junior CH of 139) v (8) BARBOSA, Romain (POR) WR 608 (age 21, junior CH of 160)

R1: (q) Evan Hoyt WR 1272 (age 20, junior CH of 53) v GEERTS, Michael (BEL) WR 768 (age 20, junior CH of 170)


The two are playing together in doubles. Joe Cooper is also in the doubles.

Billy and Evan go one stage further than last week and win their doubles QF - against the second seed French duo, and in two easy sets to boot

 

So that will get Billy a doubles ranking, to add to his new singles one.
